Apparently scientists have discovered that they can successfully transplant the wombs from women who are brain dead but still have a beating heart. This naturally raises ethical questions, as pointed out in the article, as to whether is it right to transplant organs when no-one life is at stake.
As we know, many parents who are trying to conceive, are willing to stop at nothing to achieve their dream. Who knows the medical and psychological implications of having a uterus transplant for the parents and more importantly the child?
